I meant to write a 'journal', but I kept forgetting to get a notebook, and then the trip was half over... the light painting was done by using a remote shutter release which 'locks', then using an led flashlight pointed in the camera's direction. Thanks. when I read it back to myself I'm usually pretty non-plussed about my writing. I try to convey the relevant details to flesh out the impressions, but I often get mired in one or the other. > > 2: Yours is the first trip report I've --ever-- read which used the word "fulgent". :-) m-w.com word of the day! besides, it's the only word I've come across that really conveys the way the trees seem lit from within, the way they just *glow*. It's really hard to capture that glow on film... I'm going to have to try some filters so I can get longer exposures. > 3: You're definitely not geezing. heh. I went to see Joe Satriani last night at the Warner. I had to wear ear plugs. "If the music is too loud, you're too old" kept going through my mind. :~) the good thing was that I rode down, and got to park right in front of the Warner theatre. As I was backing into the spot between a black suburban and a mercedes, I bumped the suburban with my muffler. not hard, just a bump. next thing I know, there's a *big* black lady DC cop standing in front of me. she asks, "did you hit my car with your bike, or your body?" "My shoulder, ma'am. Sorry about that." :~) _______________________________________________ dc-cycles mailing list dc-cycles@XXXXXX http://dc-cycles.org/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/dc-cycles _ _ _ _ .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. [Dave] I would have gone with: "Wat chu talkin' 'bout Willis"...
