Just wanted to pass out some food for thought if people are thinking of riding plans. The 25th Annual Ride for Kids will be held this Sunday, Sept 21st. We start out from The Mall in Columbia, you'll take about a 60 mile police escorted trip through various country roads (last year's route was a real hit, the ride leader said he didn't make many changes for this year). The minimum donation is $35, more will get you premiums such as t-shirts, hats, etc. This year premiums will be available at the start point as well as the end point. We'll also have free donuts (courtesy of Bob from Bob's BMW), free coffee (thanks to Starbucks), and at the end point we'll have free lunches from Whole Foods, and since we'll be using their parking lot, Jack and Jill ice cream will be providing dessert! Registration starts at 7:30 and ends at 9:15, ride pulls out at 9:30. All benefits go to the Pediatrics Brain Tumor Foundation. Hope to see you all there. This year our ride is the same day as the Philly ride, so we're losing some regulars. If you've never done the ride before, it's a great event. More information, maps, etc, can be found at: http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/calendar/2008/baltimorewashington08.html Oh, and this year the bike we are giving away won't be the regular Honda Rebel. We're giving away a Honda VTX!! (1 ticket is given for each interval of $300 collected) If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thanks, Louis P.S. If you can't attend, but would like to donate, please see my signature for a website. ======= "Admiral" Louis Caplan Fairfax, VA 2007 Kawasaki Nomad Baltimore Washington Ride for Kids Task Force Please help me help the kids! http://www.firstgiving.com/louiscaplan The Tribe MC, Vice President: http://www.thetribemc.com Jewish Motorcyclist Alliance, Secretary: http://www.jewishbikers.com MSF RiderCoach: http://www.msf-usa.org _______________________________________________ dc-cycles mailing list dc-cycles@XXXXXX http://dc-cycles.org/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/dc-cycles
