I lube with 80/90 gear oil anyway and seeing as how they are 1/3rd the cost of the cheap O-ring chains why shouldn't I use plain chain? the bike is an sv650 so not a HP king or anything. _______________________________________________ dc-cycles mailing list dc-cycles@XXXXXX http://dc-cycles.org/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/dc-cycles _ _ _ _ .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. .-.-.=\-. Not only are there no reasons why you shouldn't, there are reasons why you should - less friction loss in the chain = more HP to the wheel. Since longevity and frequency of maintenance aren't issues, go for it (buy good chain, though). -- Michael J.
