Is that covered, or are you going to make all the panels? If you are, you might want to check out this site: http://www.metalmeet.com/ It's all about sheet metal working, and some of the people on it really know what they are talking about. Some of them are even local to here. They are also really helpful and friendly. I went to a local meet a couple of years ago, knowing absolutely nothing, and they showed me lots of useful stuff (like pointing out that you can only do about five things to sheet metal: cut, weld, bend, stretch and shrink...and that all forming is a combination of some or all of those done in the right order to the right places). By the second day of the meet I'd managed a compound curve in a sheet about the size of a small turkey platter that was smooth in all directions. I'd never even heard of "tuck forks" before, and while I'd seen English wheels in pictures, I'd never used one. Anybody interested in working sheet metal (and perhaps other kinds of metalworking too) will most likely learn something useful on that site, or find a source for hard to find tools, or just meet like-minded folks. -- Mike B. -- '04 FLSTCI (H-D Softail Heritage Classic with EFI for the non-Harley folks) Learning from your mistakes is good.
