"As the gas prices go up, and more and more folks ride in, I've been shorted some usual parking spots near work. I've also been dressed down by two D.C. Meter Wardens, and almost run into by an idiot trying to share the car space I had to commandeer the other day for a few hours." [Carl]: "Bless their hearts"; they're bigger than you and thus have greater rights . . . in their itty bitty minds anyway. "here's the map for use on your phone or any other mode of mapping: [Carl]: Nice! Two additions: Just east of 12th SW on the north side of Independence, there are about six spots in a parking lot labeled "Permit parking only". Because USDA doesn't issue permits for motorcycle parking, they're free. And the bars ensure no cages can intrude. On 12th SW just south of C there is a small parking lot on the south side of the "Cotton Annex" building. In the north east corner of that lot is space for about three motorcycles Labeled "Motorcycles Only". Just drive around the gate. In Bethesda, the high rise parking lots all* have free parking spaces for motorcycles thanks to the efforts of several on this list. * Not sure if the lot opening on Georgetown and Woodmont has motorcycle parking but the others do. Motorcycle Parking Map There are also 4 motorcycle spots [free] at the Montgomery County public lot 31 at the SW corner of Bethesda Ave and Woodmont Ave. Spaces are located in the SW corner of the lot next to the Capital Crescent trail.
