Subject: [dc-cycles] No charges for motorcycles in new HOT lanes

Good news.  According to the Virginia HOT coalition's website, they
are considering the HOT lanes to be HOV lanes with respect to
motorcycle use:

Q.  Will motorcycles ride the HOT lanes for free as they do the HOV lanes?

A.  Yes. Federal law dictates that motorcycles will be permitted to
use the HOT lanes free of charge.
