Of course, the boots fit easily under the net on the rear. So how to move the skis/poles without a bike rack? With some finagling, a padded shoulder sling worked just fine, carried like an archer arrow bag. Not for me to the slopes, but fine for this errand. (Lots of other alternatives ruled out.)
