Subject: [dc-cycles] Skis

So - had to get the old reliables to the shop for a look at minor zits (no
auto available).  Skis, boots, poles.  Of course, the boots fit easily under
the net on the rear.  So how to move the skis/poles without a bike rack?
With some finagling, a padded shoulder sling worked just fine, carried like
an archer arrow bag.  Not for me to the slopes, but fine for this errand.
(Lots of other alternatives ruled out.)
